In 1997, Barbara Bruno had the honor of serving as the Chairman of the Board for the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). Barbara was only the thirty-third person in history to be awarded the Harold B. Nelson Award, which is the highest national award given to an employment professional. The fact that she still works a desk is very obvious in the way she presents her material. Her training methods are proven and current, and her ideas can be put into action immediately to help increase sales.
Fast forward to 2007, Barbara agreed to head NAPS most important boardroom to date. With a whole new cast of members at the helm, she orchestrated nothing short of a manifesto; a collective road map designed to pull together the current boardroom in a concerted manner guided by one penetrable objective: to rewrite NAPS goals and ambitions well into the next decade.
The objective of this film was to showcase the passion behind the movement, the camaraderie of the board, the collective efforts that emphasized the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its parts. It speaks volumes to this group's number one goal: keeping this fragmented industry accountable, informed and respected by corporations and candidates alike.
